“Ore da mi, mo dá ọ̀rẹ́ mi, ọ̀dàlẹ̀ di méjì.”….. “A friend betrayed me, I betrayed my friend, and we both became traitors.” It reminds us that when anger, backbiting, jealousy, and the desire for revenge take over, both sides lose their integrity. “Ore da mi” is painful, but “mọ́ dá ọ̀rẹ́ mi” only multiplies the hurt. True strength is choosing wisdom over retaliation because biting back doesn’t heal the wound it, only creates two betrayers instead of one. Let your character be stronger than your emotions, and let peace speak louder than revenge.
