Caleb University, Imota, Lagos State, has graduated 1,924 students at its 15th Convocation Ceremony held on Wednesday.
The graduating class comprised 1,625 undergraduates, 299 postgraduate students and 22 doctoral candidates, according to a statement issued by the institution’s Information, Media and Publication Specialist, Olawale Adekoya.
Of the undergraduate students, 96 earned First-Class honours, 719 obtained Second Class Upper Division, 719 graduated with Second Class Lower Division, while 82 received Third Class degrees. In the postgraduate category, 46 students graduated with distinction, 143 with merit and 88 with pass grades.
Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Olalekan Asikhia, described the ceremony as “a defining chapter in Caleb’s unstoppable ascent in Nigeria’s higher education ecosystem.” He reiterated the university’s commitment to producing graduates who are not only certificate holders but also innovators, solution providers and nation-builders.
Asikhia noted that since assuming office in June 2025, his administration has prioritised academic excellence, research and innovation, entrepreneurship and environmental responsibility. He highlighted the successful hosting of the 2025 Employability Fair, themed “Preparing Graduates for the World of Work,” which led to internship and job placements for several students.
The Vice-Chancellor also disclosed that fresh student enrolment for the 2025/2026 academic session reached 3,616 as of November 30, 2025, attributing the figure to expanded nationwide marketing efforts across the six geopolitical zones.
A major highlight of the ceremony was the conferment of an honorary doctorate on Pastor (Mrs) , wife of Pastor of the . Fondly known as “Mummy G.O.,” she was described as a global role model, educationist and moral leader whose influence has shaped generations.
The General Overseer of the in Nigeria and Convocation Lecturer, Rev. Sam Aboyeji, urged the graduating students to uphold excellence and character as they advance in their careers, stressing that excellence rooted in godliness has the power to transform nations.
Registrar Mr. Mayokun Olumeru described the graduates as individuals refined by knowledge, character and faith, ready to contribute meaningfully to society.
The ceremony was attended by Deputy Vice-Chancellors Prof. Sunday Adewale and Prof. Adesola Ajayi, members of the Senate, deans, as well as representatives of the Governing Council and Board of Trustees.
