The Executive Chairman of Onigbongbo Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Moyosore Adebanjo, has been honoured with the prestigious Outstanding Local Government Chairman of the Year 2026 Award by Business Times Award, in recognition of his exemplary leadership, innovative approach to grassroots governance and commitment to sustainable community development.

The award was presented to Hon. Adebanjo at a distinguished ceremony held at the Oriental Hotel, Lagos, alongside other individuals and institutions recognised for their contributions to leadership, governance, business and community development.
The recognition underscores the transformative strides of the Adebanjo administration under the F.I.N.E Agenda, with the Council pursuing initiatives focused on economic empowerment, human capital development, improved public services, environmental sustainability and inclusive grassroots development.

Speaking at the ceremony, Hon. Moyosore Adebanjo expressed appreciation to the organisers for the recognition, noting that the honour belongs not only to him but also to the people of Onigbongbo LCDA, members of his administration and stakeholders whose support continues to advance the Council’s development agenda.

He described the recognition as both an honour and a responsibility, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to raising the standard of public service and building a responsive, inclusive and forward-looking local government where good governance translates into tangible impact for residents.
The award marks another significant milestone in the growing recognition of Hon. Moyosore Adebanjo’s leadership and the development trajectory of Onigbongbo LCDA
