The Ojora family of Lagos State has announced the death of its patriarch, Otunba Adekunle Ojora, the Olori Omo Oba of Lagos, who passed away in the early hours of Wednesday at the age of 93.
The family disclosed the development in a statement signed by Mrs Toyin Ojora-Saraki, stating that the respected businessman and traditional figure died in total submission to the will of Almighty Allah.
According to the statement, the late Otunba Ojora, who was also the Otunba of Lagos and Lisa of Ife, would be buried in Lagos in accordance with Islamic rites. The family further appealed to members of the public to remember him in their prayers.
“In total submission to the will of Almighty Allah (SWT), the Ojora family of Lagos hereby announces the passing of our beloved patriarch, Otunba Adekunle Ojora, the Otunba of Lagos and Lisa of Ife, who returned to his Creator early this morning,” the statement read.
The family expressed gratitude for his long and fulfilled life, describing him as a man who lived with dignity and honour.
Otunba Adekunle Ojora is survived by his wife, Erelu Ojolape Ojora, as well as his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The family urged the public to pray that Allah grants the deceased mercy, forgiveness and a place in Aljannah Firdaus.
