Operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) have arrested the President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Joe Ajaero.
According to sources, Ajaero was taken into custody on Monday morning at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja, just as he was about to board a flight to the United Kingdom for an official assignment.
Details of the arrest are still sketchy, but sources close to the NLC confirm that Ajaero was detained by DSS operatives and is currently being held at an undisclosed location.
