In a significant development, operatives from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) are presently engaged in a search operation at the corporate headquarters of the Dangote Group located in Lagos.

The EFCC team is reportedly scrutinizing the foreign exchange allocations granted to the company during the tenure of Godwin Emefiele as the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria.

Dele Oyewale, the spokesperson for the EFCC, has officially confirmed this ongoing operation.

Earlier this week, it was disclosed that the Dangote Petroleum Refinery has received its fourth shipment, consisting of one million barrels of bonny light crude oil. These supplies were provided by the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation Limited (NNPCL).

This recent delivery marks the fourth installment out of the anticipated six million barrels of crude oil destined for the world’s largest single-train refinery, the Dangote Refinery.

It is noteworthy that prior to this latest shipment, the Dangote Refinery had already received three million barrels of crude oil. The EFCC’s search operation is expected to shed light on the intricacies surrounding the forex allocations during the specified period.
