Mumbai, India – Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was rushed to Lilavati Hospital early Thursday morning with multiple stab injuries after an intruder reportedly broke into his home and attacked him.
The incident occurred in an upscale neighborhood of Mumbai, where Khan resides with his family. According to Mumbai Police, the attack happened shortly after midnight when an unidentified man entered Khan’s residence. A scuffle ensued, leaving the actor with six stab wounds, two of which were described as deep, including one near the spine.
Niraj Uttamani, the Chief Operating Officer of Lilavati Hospital, confirmed that Khan is undergoing surgery. “A team of specialist doctors is working on his injuries,” he stated.

The actor’s publicity team described the attack as an “attempted burglary” but did not provide further details. Khan’s family has not issued any public comments on the incident.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Dixit Gedam announced that a full investigation is underway. “An unknown person entered the actor’s house, leading to an altercation,” Gedam said.
In a statement released Thursday morning, Khan’s team urged fans and media to respect his privacy. “This is a police matter, and we will provide updates as necessary,” they said.
As police continue to investigate, the entertainment world and fans alike are awaiting further news on Khan’s condition.
