The Katsina Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC) has recorded 110 cases of sexual assault since its establishment in December 2023, highlighting growing awareness and response to gender-based violence in the state. The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has received 153 stranded Nigerians repatriated from Chad under the Assisted Voluntary Return (AVR) programme facilitated by the International Organisation for Migration (IOM) in collaboration with the Federal Government of Nigeria. The Edo State Government has issued a one-week ultimatum to former deputy governor Marvellous Omobayo, directing him to return all government property and assets still in his possession.
