What is really baffling is the fact that what is a non- issue drew his ire as he uttered words saying the ADC will give a response but fell short of saying if it is true that some members of the party have defected or not. The former Governor of Oyo State and a National Vice Chairman of the ruling APC, Abiola Ajimobi has reportedly succumbed to Covid-19. The story has sparked a lot of controversy but his media aide, Bolaji Tunji has reportedly debunked it as mere rumour. It would be recalled that the politician had been under admission at an undisclosed hospital and was even reported by some media outlets to have slipped into a coma last week. If true, his “death” would make him another of many powerful Nigerians that have been claimed by the Coronavirus pandemic. More details soon.

The news broke late afternoon across multiple news channels and it has sent millions of Nigerians into mournful mode. The suspension of Adams Oshiomhole as National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress has been upheld by a three-man panel of the Court of Appeal. The judgement was delivered this Tuesday by Mohammed Lamido, the presiding judge of the Appeals Court sequel to the dismissal of Oshiomhole’s appeal by the three-man panel, citing a lack of merit. It would be recalled that an FCT High Court had in March 2020 ordered the suspension of Oshiomhole as APC’s National Chairman. The Arewa Youth Consultative Forum has berated President Buhari’s Media Adviser, Mr. Femi Adesina on what it terms his “unguarded utterances” against the Northern Elders Forum (NEF)and its Chairman, Professor Ango Abdullahi. This was the crux of a Press Statement released yesterday and signed on behalf of AYCF by its National President, Alhaji Ahmed Yerima. Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu has expressed sadness over the sudden death of Senator Sikiru Adebayo Osinowo, representing Lagos East Senatorial District at the Upper Legislative Chamber of the National Assembly, who passed away on Monday morning at the age of 64 after a brief illness. A group, Coalition Against Killings in Northern Nigeria, CAKIN, has decried the incessant insecurity and killings in the region. The Senator representing Lagos West in the Senate, Bayo Oshinowo, popularly known as Pepper is dead. The first time senator who was for several years a member of the Lagos State House of Assembly died today at the First Cardiologist Hospital, Lagos. He represented Kosofe Local Government in the Lagos House of Assembly after which he took over from Senator Gbenga Ashafa in the Senate. Senator Osinowo was 64. More details later
Actor Sushant Singh Rajput has allegedly died by suicide at his Bandra home in Mumbai. The Mumbai Police have confirmed the news of the 34-year-old actor. Actor Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead in his house in Mumbai’s Bandra, his representative and Mumbai Police said on Sunday. The actor was found dead at his sixth floor appartment in Bandra (West).
