The 2027 presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Atiku Abubakar, has felicitated the Sultan of Sokoto, His Eminence Muhammadu Sa’ad Abubakar III, on his 70th birthday.
Atiku conveyed his congratulatory message in a post on his official X account on Monday, extending his best wishes to the Sultan on behalf of his family.
The former Vice President prayed for the monarch’s continued good health, strength and wisdom as he provides leadership and guidance to Muslims and Nigerians.
“On behalf of my family, I warmly felicitate with His Eminence, Muhammadu Sa’ad Abubakar III, the Sultan of Sokoto, on the occasion of his 70th birthday,” Atiku said.
He prayed that Almighty Allah would continue to bless the Sultan with “robust health, enduring strength and greater wisdom” as he continues to provide what he described as exemplary leadership to the Muslim faithful and the country.
Atiku also prayed for the Sultan to be granted many more years of distinguished service to humanity.
“May Allah grant him many more years of distinguished service to humanity. Amin,” he added.
The former Vice President described the Sultan’s leadership and guidance as significant to the Muslim faithful and the nation, particularly in promoting peace, unity and development.
Sultan Muhammadu Sa’ad Abubakar III, who is also the President-General of the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA), has remained a prominent figure in Nigeria’s religious and national affairs.
