The All Progressives Congress (APC) has postponed its House of Representatives primary election for the 2027 general elections to Saturday, May 16, 2026.
The party announced the adjustment in a statement issued on Friday, noting that all other previously scheduled primary election dates remain unchanged.
According to the revised timetable released by the party, the House of Representatives primaries will now hold on Saturday, May 16, while the Senate primaries are scheduled for Monday, May 18, 2026.
The APC also confirmed that the State House of Assembly primaries will take place on Wednesday, May 20, followed by the governorship primaries on Thursday, May 21.
The party further stated that its presidential primary election remains fixed for Saturday, May 23, 2026.
The development comes as the ruling party continues preparations for its internal electoral processes ahead of the 2027 general elections.
