The All Progressives Congress has announced an extension of deadlines for the sale and submission of Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms ahead of the 2027 general elections.
In a statement issued on Monday by its National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, the party said the sale of forms will now close at midnight on May 6, 2026, while the submission of completed forms has been extended to midnight on May 7, 2026.
The party also revised its screening schedule, noting that the exercise will now hold from May 8 to May 12, 2026, with the publication of screened aspirants slated for May 13, 2026.
The updated timetable was earlier approved and released from the party’s National Secretariat, Buhari House, Abuja, in line with provisions of the Constitution, the Electoral Act 2026, and the timetable of the Independent National Electoral Commission.
The revised schedule was also confirmed by the National Organising Secretary, Sulaiman Muhammad Argungu, as part of preparations for party primaries and other electoral activities leading up to the 2027 polls.
The APC said the extension is aimed at accommodating more aspirants and ensuring a smooth and transparent nomination process in line with its internal democratic procedures.
