Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, has reaffirmed the All Progressives Congress’ commitment to President Bola Tinubu’s re election, saying the party is determined to consolidate the gains of the administration’s reforms.
Uzodimma, who serves as secretary of the APC Presidential Campaign Council and chairman of the Progressive Governors Forum, stated this in a post on his official X handle on Thursday, following the inauguration of the party’s Presidential Campaign Council.
He said the party recognised its responsibility to Nigerians and remained committed to fulfilling its mandate under Tinubu’s leadership.
According to the governor, the administration has continued to pursue reforms and initiatives aimed at advancing national development.
Uzodimma described Tinubu’s leadership as central to the government’s reform agenda, expressing confidence in the administration’s efforts across key sectors of the economy.
He also said the Progressive Governors Forum supported the administration’s continuity agenda, with particular emphasis on economic transformation, strengthening state governments and improving their capacity to deliver democratic benefits to citizens.
Speaking on the vision presented at the campaign council’s inauguration, Uzodimma said the governors were focused on sustaining government policies and empowering subnational governments to improve service delivery.
He added that Tinubu had remained committed to his mandate and was working to restore public confidence in the country.
The governor said the APC would work collectively to sustain the administration’s policies and advance its development agenda as the party looks towards the next presidential tenure.
Uzodimma’s remarks come as the APC prepares for the 2027 general election, with the Presidential Campaign Council expected to coordinate the party’s efforts in support of Tinubu’s re election bid.
