The Ondo State Government has commended operatives of the Amotekun Corps and other security agencies for the successful rescue of kidnapped victims in Akure South Local Government Area.
Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa praised the gallantry, professionalism, and coordinated efforts of the security operatives involved in the operation.
The government specifically lauded the leadership of the Amotekun Corps under its Commander, Adetunji Adeleye, for spearheading the overnight operations that led to the rescue of five victims in two separate incidents at Oke Ijebu and along the Oda–Akure axis.
It also highlighted the effective collaboration among various security agencies, noting that the synergy played a critical role in the success of the rescue missions.
Reaffirming its commitment to the protection of lives and property, the state government assured residents that it would continue to strengthen security measures across Ondo State.
Residents were further urged to support security agencies by providing credible and timely information, stressing that collective responsibility remains essential to sustaining peace and security in the state.
