February 25, 2026, Hon. Adetola Abubakar; the Executive Chairman of Agboyi-Ketu LCDA takes a comprehensive inspection tour of just completed and ongoing civil projects of her government. One of the cardinal deliverables of the 8-Point Agenda of her administration is Infrastructure & Grassroots Economic Development. Under this, we have activities and projects such as Road Construction Works, Road Rehabilitation & maintenance, Drainage Systems, Shopping Complexes, Markets Maintenance, etc…

The administration of Hon. Adetola Adunni Abubakar at the very beginning of her tenure immediately made substantial investments in infrastructure development in Agboyi-Ketu LCDA. At least six major road projects were taken up immediately. Three of them have been successfully completed with professional delivery and quality finishing! These include:
Construction of Dada Aga Street
Construction of Alli Close
Construction of Kawonise Street
Each of these roads enjoyed complete “start-to-finish” road works such as earthworks, drainage concrete works, streetlights and asphaltic finishing / interlocking stones. All three of them are close to the famous and ever busy Mile 12 International Market. This is a great feat indeed, as the phenomenal Mile 12 Market and all appurtenant modern shopping complexes which have all become integral part of Mile 12 will now enjoy even better access roads. The residents of these streets can now heave a great sigh of relief as their homes were practically inaccessible before the tenure of Adetola Abubakar began! And just within 6 months, they have brand new quality roads to their homes and offices…

The three other roads that are currently under construction as at the date of this report include:
Balogun Ilawe Street
Ogunyinka Street and
Adeyinka Street
While Balogun Ilawe is a 300m road at the Alapere area of the LCDA, Ogunyinka and Adeyinka Streets add to the network of roads to make Mile 12 International market more accessible. The Chairman and her Engineering Team had cleverly mapped out a concentrated network of roads around the Mile 12 / Ajelogo area. These cleverly mapped out roadworks are contributing to easier access to Mile 12 market and massive relief to the people of the project area.

While these great feats were ongoing, others road projects are in design stages to be soon awarded in due course.
The Chairman and her team carried out a thorough inspection on both the completed roads; to ascertain that the job was done to satisfaction and the ongoing ones to ensure that the standards are maintained. On the Chairman’s entourage for this strategic inspection tour are:
Mr. Samson Akinbami; Council Manager
Engr. Jelili Omotunde; Council Engineer
Mrs. Mulikat Abiodun Onisarotu; The Council Treasurer
Mr. Adeola Oyedele; Chief of Staff to the Executive Chairman
Hon. Aderoju Adelowo; Leader of the Council Legislative House; Ward G

Hon. Sina Ahmed; Council Legislator for Ward C
Hon. Moshood Fashanu; Council Legislator for Ward D
Hon. Fatai; Council Legislator for Ward E
Mrs. Odegbesan and other aides and council staff

On the side of the communities of the project areas, community and opinion leaders came all out to receive the Chairman and her entourage with gratitude for the job well done on the construction of their neighbourhood roads. Hon. Adetola Adunni Abubakar is indeed blazing the trail in delivering the dividends of democracy to Lagosians living and working in Agboyi-Ketu LCDA.
