In one fell swoop, Hon. Kafilat Adetola Ogbara empowers One Thousand constituents of Kosofe Federal Constituency! The date was Sunday January 25, 2026 and the venue was the CMD Grounds on CMD Road, Magodo Lagos. The Centre for Management Development played host to probably the biggest humanitarian gesture it ever experienced as Cars, Minibuses, Electric Motorcycles, Tricycles, Grinding Machines, Hairdressing Equipment, Tailoring and all manner of equipment useful for small-scale businesses and vocations littered the large compound.
Kosofe Federal Constituency comprises of Kosofe, Agboyi-Ketu and Ikosi-Isheri Local Governments of Lagos State, and beneficiaries were drawn with equity and proper profiling to receive of the largesse from their amiable MHR. What a way to start the year for these thousand… It was a “Happy New Year” indeed!
And for the Agboyi-Ketu contingency, their Chairman; Hon. Adetola Adunni Abubakar like a good shepherd was there to marshal her constituents to receive their empowerment items with which they have been blessed, and provide support for Hon. Adetola Ogbara at the event.
The occasion was impressive as it was impactful, attracting the Governor of Lagos; Mr. Babajide Sanwoolu, Sen. Olanrewaju Solomon, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa, and many other heavyweight dignitaries in the political circles of Lagos. In his remarks; Governor Sanwoolu eulogized Ogbara stating that “All she is doing sits very well with the Renewed Hope Agenda laid down by our President. This is governance that truly improves the quality life of the people and supports the vulnerable in our society”. The governor further hailed Ogbara for choosing to invest resources in uplifting her constituents rather than personal gains.
Other dignitaries called up to the podium all had pleasant things to say about Hon. Kafilat Ogbara and encouraged her to keep up the good work she had been doing for her constituents. In her own remarks, Hon. Ogbara stated that the empowerment programme was part of her commitment to ensuring that governance translates to tangible benefits for her constituents. “I promise that the voices of my people will not only be heard in the hallowed chambers of the National Assembly, but that real development will reach our Streets, Schools, Markets and Homes” she said.
This epoch-making event came on the heels of a very important day in the life of the MHR! Just the previous day on Saturday January 24, 2026, Hon. Kafilat Adetola Ogbara became the Yeye Sewa of Lagos! His Royal Majesty Oba Rilwan Osuolale Akiolu, the Oba of Lagos installed her with one of the highest titles for female leaders in the traditional kingdom of Lagos. And what a way to celebrate her chieftaincy title! Rather than throwing elaborate parties to celebrate her new laurel, the amiable MHR does again one of those things she did to attract such honour… She empowers 1,000 of her constituents!
The empowerment beneficiaries were elated and full of praises for their benefactor! And for those of them from Agboyi-Ketu LCDA, their able Chairman Hon. Adetola Abubakar was there to share their joy and support the MHR Hon. Adetola Ogbara; the Yeye Sewa of Lagos…
