Tuesday October 21, 2025, the whole of Lagos stood still for the President Federal Republic of Nigeria; Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR. at the prestigious Le Meridian Eko Hotel. Inspired by the very obvious positive turnaround in the economy and polity of Nigeria in very recent times, the leadership of the APC in Lagos all think that the President should run again!

Chairman of Agboyi-Ketu LCDA; Hon. Adetola Abubakar joined all the 57 Council Chairmen, the Governor and all party leaders of the All Progressives Congress in Lagos to endorse Mr. President for a rerun in 2027. The event was APC Lagos Stakeholders’ Forum 2025, with the Governor; Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu as the chief cheerleader. Others in attendance include the deputy Governor; Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, Babtunde Fashola (SAN), Rt. Hon Mudashiru Obasa, Prince Tajudeen Olusi, Sen. Tokunbo Abiru, Hon. Dolapo Badru MHR, Hon. Kafilat Ogbara MHR, Dr. Ajibola Bashiru National Secretary of APC represented the National Chairman; Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, APC Lagos State Chairman Pst. Cornelius Ojelabi, Members of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Commissioners, Members of the National Assembly and so many other Party stalwarts…

During his speech at the event, Governor Sanwo-Olu asserted that the President deserves a second term in office because of the creditable and transformational performance that Nigeria has experienced in just about two years of his administration! “President Tinubu has surpassed expectations within a short period. His leadership has set the foundation for sustainable economic reforms. Lagos State is proud to stand solidly behind him for a second term in 2027”.

In their various speeches; Mr. Fashola and Prince Olusi called for better reward for hardworking Party Members. Fashola noted that in recent times, we have experienced increased voters registration versus decreased voters’ turnout! Party members must work harder to get more voters in the net. Pst. Ojelabi announced various cash rewards for the Local Council with highest number of newly registered voters and the winning political ward. Dr. Bashiru urged members to deepen youth engagement and counter misleading opposition narratives. Sen. Abiru and Hon. Badru highlighted the contributions of Federal Lawmakers from Lagos to the success of Tinubu’s administration, while Dr. Tunji Alausa presented the scorecards of Federal Ministers under the New Hope Agenda. The forum was indeed an opportunity for the APC to present feedback and accountability.

Like every other participant at the event, Hon. Adetola Abubakar was caught on camera asserting that “the election of Asiwaju in 2027 is a done deal!”
