VICTORIA ISLAND, LAGOS — OCTOBER 19, 2026
The Executive Chairman of Ejigbo Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Aare Taoheed Adebayo Taiwo, popularly known as TAT, has joined prominent leaders and stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the PBAT-KOH 2027 Campaign Retreat in Lagos, as the party intensifies preparations for the 2027 general elections.
The strategic retreat, held at Eko Hotels and Suites, Victoria Island, was themed “The Road to the Ballot: One Team, One Strategy — Building an Effective Campaign for Electoral Success.”
The gathering brought together key political figures, party administrators, elected officials and stakeholders to deliberate on strategies for strengthening party unity, improving campaign coordination and consolidating political structures ahead of the forthcoming elections.
Among the prominent personalities in attendance were Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu; Deputy Governor, Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat; APC National Chairman, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda; and Chairman of the Lagos State Governance Advisory Council, Prince Tajudeen Oluyole Olusi.
Other notable attendees included Hon. Princess Damilola Sonayon-James, Otunba Henry Oladele Ajomale, Cardinal James Odunmbaku, former Minister of Finance, Mr. Wale Edun, Prince Rabiu Oluwa, Lagos APC Chairman, Hon. Cornelius Ojelabi, and APC National Youth Leader, Dr. Dayo Israel.
The three senators representing Lagos State in the National Assembly — Wasiu Eshinlokun-Sanni of Lagos Central, Mukhail Adetokunbo Abiru of Lagos East, and Idiat Oluranti Adebule of Lagos West — were also present alongside other party chieftains and political stakeholders.
Senator Musiliu Obanikoro, Director-General of the PBAT-KOH Campaign Council, delivered the welcome address, setting the stage for discussions focused on political organisation, effective leadership coordination, party cohesion and grassroots mobilisation.
The retreat was designed to provide an opportunity for party leaders to assess existing structures, strengthen cooperation among stakeholders and develop a coordinated approach to the campaign ahead of the 2027 electoral contest.
Participants also emphasised the importance of collective commitment, strategic planning and effective communication in building a strong campaign capable of reaching voters across communities.
TAT’s participation underscored his continued involvement in APC activities and political engagements, particularly in strengthening grassroots connections and party organisation within Ejigbo LCDA.
His presence at the gathering also highlighted the importance of local government leaders in connecting party strategies with the needs and expectations of residents at the community level.
As political activities gradually gather momentum ahead of the 2027 general elections, the retreat represents part of the APC’s efforts to bring its leaders and stakeholders together around a common campaign direction.
The meeting concluded with renewed emphasis on unity, collaboration and strategic mobilisation as the party prepares for the challenges and opportunities of the next electoral cycle.
