Top officials of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have conducted an early morning inspection of the party’s convention venue at Eagle Square, ahead of its forthcoming national gathering, with assurances of enhanced security and the deployment of smart technology.
The inspection, carried out on Friday at the APC Convention Centre within Eagle Square in Abuja, was led by senior party figures alongside the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Benjamin Kalu.
Also present at the venue was the Minister of Defence, Christopher Musa, as well as members of the convention’s security committee, who assessed the level of preparedness and coordination for the high-profile event.
Officials disclosed that the convention would leverage smart technology to enhance organisation, strengthen security management, and improve overall efficiency, signalling a shift towards more modernised political event planning.
The inspection formed part of final checks to ensure that the venue meets required standards for safety, logistics, and the seamless conduct of proceedings.
Party leaders expressed confidence in the level of readiness, noting that the integration of technology and robust security arrangements would contribute to a successful and hitch-fre convention.
