In a show of recognition and solidarity, delegates of the University of Lagos Alumni Association, Lagos State Chapter, paid a courtesy visit to the Executive Chairman of Onigbongbo Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Moyosore Adebanjo, in his office.

The delegation, ably led by their Chairman, Hon. Owoeye Adedeji (OVO), made a bold and spirited introduction of the team members and stated the purpose of their visit. In his address, Hon. Owoeye emphasized that alumni associations exist not only to foster unity among graduates but also to celebrate the success stories of their members and the institutions that shaped them.
He revealed that the association has recognised and nominated Hon. Moyosore as “the best performing chairman.” He further hinted that the association’s visit was to officially notify the Council Chairman of his nomination. “The formal conferment ceremony will be held later this month at a grand event organized by the association,” he said.

Adding her voice, Prof. Maryam Quadri, a member of the delegation, lauded Hon. Adebanjo’s leadership strides and contributions to the UNILAG Alumni community. She expressed that the visit and forthcoming honor represent a gesture of appreciation to one of their own who continues to make the institution proud through purposeful leadership and community impact.
In his response, Hon. Moyosore Adebanjo expressed deep gratitude to the UNILAG Alumni Association for the thoughtful recognition. He recalled how the University of Lagos provided him the platform to nurture his leadership abilities, from his days as a student leader and three-time Hall Chairman to his current position as Executive Chairman.
He further highlighted some of his ongoing developmental initiatives in Onigbongbo LCDA and reaffirmed his commitment to service, excellence, and the ideals of leadership instilled in him during his days at the University of Lagos
