Orimerunmu Town, near Lagos, stood still on Sunday, November 9, 2025, as dignitaries, family, friends, and well-wishers from across Nigeria gathered to celebrate a man whose life embodies resilience, intellect, humility, and divine grace — Prince Adeola Amusat Hamsat, the distinguished son of the Laminisha Royal House of Ede, who turned 60 in grand style.
The air in Orimerunmu was festive — drums rolled, laughter echoed, and songs of gratitude rose to the heavens as guests paid tribute to a man fondly called Kabiyesi by those who know him — not for a throne he sits on, but for the grace and dignity with which he carries himself.
A Celebration of a Rare Royal
The event was a colorful convergence of royalty, academia, media veterans, community leaders, and professionals from diverse walks of life. The atmosphere radiated warmth and admiration for a man who, despite his royal heritage, built his life through sheer perseverance, intellect, and hard work.
“Prince Hamsat is a man of uncommon focus and humility,” said one of the speakers at the occasion. “He doesn’t wear his royalty on his sleeve. He wears his humanity in his heart.”

Born at midnight on November 9, 1965, to Prince Amusat Bello (Baba Soja) and Mama Raliat Amope of the Pere Compound, Ede, Osun State, young Adeola’s story began in modest surroundings but with royal lineage.
His early education took him through Ishokun Primary School and Army Children School, Oyo, between 1970 and 1977. A pioneer student of Isale Oyo Community Grammar School, he later attended the iconic Olivet Baptist High School, Oyo, where he completed his Higher School Certificate.
Life, however, would test his resolve. Two decades after secondary school, with responsibilities mounting and time racing, he chose to reignite his dream of higher learning. In 2002 — exactly twenty years later — he graduated from the University of Lagos with a B.A. in English. Unrelenting, he went on to earn an M.Sc. in International Relations and Strategic Studies from Lagos State University in 2007, and later an M.A. in English and Literary Studies from his beloved Great Akokite.
Today, he is a proud scholar, a lifelong learner, and a man who has proven that dreams deferred are not dreams denied.
From Adman to Industry Icon
Prince Hamsat’s professional journey reads like a masterclass in advertising and communications excellence.
He began his career in 1998 at Sunrise DMB&B under the legendary Dr. May Nzeribe, before moving to Lowe Lintas in 2004 as Senior Manager, later seconded to Initiative Media where he led major multinational accounts including FrieslandCampina.
By 2010, he joined The Wetherhead Group as Group General Manager, Media and Communications — a position that cemented his reputation as a visionary media strategist.
In 2014, driven by entrepreneurial courage, he founded Hall 3 Production, an outdoor and media agency, and later Media Etc Global Consults, handling prestigious brands such as Honeywell, Unilever, MTN, and FrieslandCampina. He also sits as Group Managing Director of Medialogue Creative Ventures Ltd, overseeing a network of innovative communications companies.
At every turn, he has embodied professionalism, integrity, and an unrelenting commitment to creativity.

He is married to his “wife of youth,” Princess Adekemi Florence Amusat of Ikenne, and they are blessed with four accomplished children and grandchildren who form the pride of his golden years.
Reflections at 60
At the thanksgiving service, Prince Hamsat stood surrounded by loved ones, his voice steady but emotional. “If I sum up my life in one word,” he said softly, “it would be Grace. Every step, every delay, every triumph — it’s all Grace.”
