The Executive Chairman of Onigbongbo LCDA, Hon. Moyosore Adebanjo, has inaugurated the Continuous Voters’ Registration (CVR) Committee in Onigbongbo LCDA and supplied laptops and printers to wards to enhance the pre-registration process.
Hon. Adebanjo also established a 10-man committee chaired Alhaji Akinola Rasheed. It was tasked with the responsibility of driving the implementation and mobilization process across the LCDA.
Other members of the committee are councillors, CDC representatives, market leaders, religious leaders and youth leaders across the six wards
At the inauguration of the committee were the Vice Chairman, Hon. Shamsideen Oloyede Akerele; the LGA Party Secretary, Hon. Abolade Camil Rufai; and Councillors from the six wards — Hon. Francis Nkwo, Hon. Khadijah Dosunmu, Hon. David Orukpe, Hon. Folu Omotesho, Hon. Lekan Ige, and Hon. Alabi Yusuf.
Speaking at the meeting, Hon. Moyosore Adebanjo emphasized the importance of civic participation, charging the committee, councillors, and youth leaders to intensify efforts in mobilizing residents to register, correct errors on their existing PVCs, and encourage others to do the same.
“This is the beginning of performing your civic duties as residents of this great LCDA. We must bring registration closer to the people and make it easier for every eligible resident to obtain their Permanent Voter’s Card,” he noted.
