Kaduna, August 4, 2025 — The Governor of Kaduna State, Senator Uba Sani, has paid a condolence visit to the family of elder statesman and Co-Chair of the Kaduna State Elders Forum, General Zamani Lekwot (Rtd), following the passing of his son, Jonathan Lekwot Zamani.
In a statement issued by the Governor’s media office, Senator Sani expressed deep sympathy with the Lekwot family, describing the death of Jonathan as a painful loss not only to the family but to the state at large.
He praised General Lekwot’s enduring service to the nation and his ongoing role in promoting peace and unity within Kaduna State, urging the family to take solace in Jonathan’s impactful life.
Governor Sani prayed for the repose of the soul of the deceased and asked God to grant the family the strength to bear the irreparable loss.
