Bangladeshi Security forces foiled a hijack attempt on flight BG147 by a 25-year-old man on Sunday. Atiku Abubakar, the Presidential Candidate of the PDP, has suffered defeat in the hands of Muhammadu Buhari, the Presidential Candidate of the APC. Wild jubilation broke out following the announcement that Mr Buhari scored 186 votes to defeat Atiku Abubakar, who got 167 votes. Atiku loyalists have reacted to the results, saying the unit has been historically won by Mr Buhari. The results from Atiku’s polling unit are amongst some of the early returns trickling in from across the country in today’s presidential and federal parliamentary elections. Buhari also overwhelmingly won his polling unit in Daura, Katsina State.
