By Peter Omopo  July 16, 2025 – Nigeria’s headline inflation rate slowed to 22.22% in June 2025, down from 22.97% in May, marking a 0.75 percentage point decline, according to the latest Consumer Price Index (CPI) report released on Wednesday by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS). The year-on-year figure represents a substantial drop of 11.97 percentage points compared to 34.19% recorded in June 2024.
