Governor Bello Mohammed (Matawallen Maradun) has approved the establishment of Community Police under the supervision of the Nigeria Police in the state. The new body will compose of volunteers from across the 14 Local Government Areas of the state to be trained by the Nigeria Police under the Polce Community Relations arrangement. A total of 700 Youth will be meticulously selected, 50 each from the 14 Local Government Areas of the state. The immediate-past managing director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, Maikanti Baru, is dead. He passed at the age of 60. Baru’s death was confirmed in a current tweet by his successor the incumbent GMD of the corporation, Mele Kyari, indicating that he died last night.
