Canadian authorities have cleared the way for a hearing to extradite Huawei’s chief financial officer to the United States. Justice officials in Canada on Friday issued an authority for the case involving Meng Wanzhou to proceed, setting the stage for another court appearance Wednesday. The announcement had been expected. Meng was arrested last December in Canada at the request of the United States, which claimed she helped the Chinese telecom company circumvent US sanctions in Iran. One of the major crude oil transportation channels used for export has been shut down. This is a big blow to Nigeria’s crude exports. The Nembe Creek Trunk Line, which is 100 kilometers long and has a capacity of 150,000 barrels per day. The Line evacuates crude to the Bonny Crude Oil Terminal. The lifeless body of an Uber driver based in Lagos, who was declared missing by his wife in December 2018, has been found in a lagoon in Lagos State. According to Adeola Tade, the wife of the deceased (Adekunle Tade), the deceased had his car snatched by armed robbers at gunpoint along Ikeja airport road in December. Adekunle was said to have reported the case at the Police station nearest to the robbery scene. The national working committee, NWC,  of the All Progressives Congress, APC,  has suspended the governors of Ogun and Imo states, Ibikunle Amosun and Rochas Okorocha over anti-party activities. APC took the decision at its National Working Committee meeting held on Friday in Abuja. Festus Okoye, the INEC commissioner for information and voter education has revealed in a statement that some of INEC’s staff were abducted and raped during Saturday’s elections.
