The Nigerian Senate has constituted an 18-member committee to oversee the activities of the newly appointed Sole Administrator of Rivers State, Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas (retd.).
Senate President Godswill Akpabio announced the formation of the committee during the chamber’s plenary session on Tuesday, stating that the move is aimed at promoting transparency and accountability in the governance of the state.
The committee will be chaired by Senate Leader Opeyemi Bamidele and is expected to provide oversight on the administrator’s actions and ensure alignment with constitutional and democratic principles.
