The Nigerian Senate at its plenary session today voted unanimously against the nomination of Presidential aide, Lauretta Onochie as a National Commissioner of the Independent National Electoral Commission.
In his submission, Chairman of the Committee, Kabiru Gaya, insisted that Lauretta did not fulfil the requirements of the Federal Character Principles.
The Senate Committee subsequently struck out her nomination.
