President Buhari has apparently decided to obey his office’s interpretation of the law in the matter of the authentic Acting Chairman of his party, the All Progressives Congress, APC. He has consequently pitched his tent with the embattled Victor Giadom.

It would be recalled that the issue of the true Acting Chairman of the party has been a volatile matter of controversy in recent days with many party gladiators laying claim to the position after the suspension of the substantive chairman, Adams Oshiomole.
The action of the president as evident in the above tweets by his spokesman, Garba Shehu seems to have laid the matter to rest, perhaps for now, with the President promising to attend a virtual meeting called by Giadom and also encouraging Governors and other stakeholders to attend.
