The Executive Chairman of Onigbongbo Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Moyosore Adebanjo, has been honoured with the prestigious African Icon of the Year Award at the 4th Pan-African Leadership Conference, held at the Oriental Hotel, Lagos.

The award recognises Hon. Moyosore Adebanjo’s exemplary leadership, commitment to youth development and grassroots transformation, and contributions to building stronger, more inclusive communities.

Receiving the award, Hon. Moyosore Adebanjo dedicated the recognition to young people across Africa, describing them as the driving force and future of the continent.
He urged young Africans to remain resilient in the pursuit of their aspirations, emphasising that challenges should not become reasons to abandon their dreams.
The Chairman further noted that Africa’s transformation requires young people who are prepared to take responsibility, create solutions, build institutions and contribute meaningfully to the development of their communities and the continent at large.
He expressed appreciation to the organisers of the Pan-African Leadership Conference for the recognition, stressing that the honour would further strengthen his commitment to impactful leadership and youth-focused development.
