Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, has marked his 57th birthday with gratitude to God and a renewed commitment to serving humanity and the people.
Adeola, who represents Ogun West Senatorial District in the National Assembly, shared his birthday message on Monday via his official X account, expressing appreciation for what he described as God’s abundant grace, mercy, protection and faithfulness throughout his life and public service journey.
“As I mark another year today, my heart is filled with profound gratitude to Almighty God for the gift of life, His abundant grace, mercy, protection and faithfulness throughout my journey,” Adeola wrote.
The senator, who is also the All Progressives Congress candidate for the 2027 Ogun State governorship election following his emergence as the party’s flagbearer, said every chapter of his life and every opportunity to serve had been made possible by divine grace.
Adeola also expressed appreciation to his wife and children for their unwavering support, describing them as his strongest pillars and a constant source of strength and inspiration.
He extended his gratitude to political associates, friends, supporters, elders and leaders, as well as members of the public who had supported him throughout his political career.
“I also sincerely appreciate our revered elders and leaders, my political associates, friends, supporters and the good people who have stood by me through the years. Your prayers, counsel, confidence, loyalty and goodwill mean so much to me,” he said.
Reflecting on his new age, Adeola said he was rededicating himself to the service of God, humanity and the people, while pledging to approach the years ahead with renewed strength and determination.
“At 57, I rededicate myself to the service of God, humanity and our people, with renewed strength and an even greater commitment to making a positive difference,” he stated.
He concluded his message with a prayer for continued divine guidance and more opportunities for Nigerians to celebrate together.
“May Almighty God continue to guide our paths and grant us many more reasons to celebrate together,” Adeola said.
