Leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the Southwest have reaffirmed their commitment to securing victory for the party in the August 15 Osun State governorship election, pledging unity and coordinated campaign efforts in support of the party’s candidate, Oyebamiji.
The resolution was reached during a strategic meeting held on Sunday at the Lagos State House in Marina, Lagos, which brought together the Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the Governor of Ondo State, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, APC chieftain Chief Bisi Akande, and the party’s governorship candidates from Oyo, Ogun and Lagos states.
Speaking after the meeting, the APC governorship candidate for Osun State said the gathering provided an opportunity to review campaign strategies, align efforts and strengthen collaboration ahead of the election.
According to him, the discussions reinforced the party’s unity and collective determination to deliver victory at the polls.
He expressed appreciation for the guidance and encouragement received from the party leaders, describing their wealth of experience as a source of strength in building a formidable campaign.
The candidate said his administration, if elected, would prioritise sustainable economic growth, youth empowerment, job creation and responsible governance aimed at improving the lives of residents across Osun State.
He also pledged to sustain engagement with stakeholders and communities throughout the state as the campaign enters its final phase, expressing confidence that the APC would emerge victorious in the election.
The Osun State governorship election is scheduled to hold on August 15, with political parties intensifying campaigns across the state in a bid to win the support of voters.
