Controversial relationship coach and social media personality, Blessing Okoro, popularly known as Blessing CEO, has expressed optimism despite being remanded in custody over fraud charges brought against her by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
The social media influencer was remanded at the Kirikiri Correctional Centre pending the perfection of her bail conditions after pleading not guilty to multiple charges filed against her by the anti-graft agency.
Reacting to the development in a series of posts shared on her Instagram page on Wednesday, Blessing CEO maintained her innocence and described the ongoing legal battle as a challenge that would ultimately become a stepping stone to greater success.
According to her, the EFCC filed three separate cases against her, all of which she denied before the court.
She claimed that two of the allegations involved tenancy-related disputes, while the third stemmed from a previous controversy involving a cancer-related fundraising matter.
The influencer disclosed that she spent 26 days in EFCC custody before being arraigned and subsequently remanded pending the fulfilment of her bail requirements.
Despite the legal proceedings, Blessing CEO appeared upbeat, telling her followers that she remained in high spirits and confident that the situation would eventually end in her favour.
In one of her posts, she described the experience as part of a personal journey that could lead to a major breakthrough, adding that she believed adversity often precedes success.
The social media personality also made light of her remand, noting that it was the second time she had been incarcerated, following an earlier detention in 2022 over allegations related to defamation and cyberbullying.
She jokingly suggested that her experiences in prison could qualify her to seek higher political office in the future, while assuring supporters that she remained determined to overcome the challenges before her.
Blessing CEO further thanked her followers for their support and encouragement, saying the outpouring of goodwill had strengthened her resolve during the difficult period.
She also acknowledged the role of the EFCC in bringing public attention to her case, describing the publicity surrounding the trial as an unexpected development that had further amplified her public profile.
The influencer disclosed that her bank accounts had been frozen as part of the ongoing investigation and appealed to supporters to keep her in their prayers while the legal process continues.
The EFCC had earlier arraigned Blessing CEO over allegations involving financial transactions amounting to millions of naira. The anti-corruption agency maintains that the charges were filed following investigations into complaints lodged against her.
The case has continued to generate widespread public interest, with supporters and critics closely monitoring developments as the court proceedings unfold.
