The Zamfara State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has congratulated former Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Nasiru Muazu Magarya, on his appointment as Federal Commissioner representing the state in the National Population Commission.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, the party described the appointment, approved by Bola Ahmed Tinubu, as well-deserved, citing Magarya’s contributions to legislative development and governance in Zamfara State.
The APC noted that Magarya distinguished himself during his tenure as Speaker through the passage of impactful laws and effective legislative oversight, which it said contributed to stabilising the State House of Assembly.
The party expressed confidence in his ability to deliver in his new national role, stating that he would represent Zamfara effectively and serve as a worthy ambassador of the state.
It also commended key political figures in Zamfara, including Governor Dauda Lawal, Minister of State for Defence Bello Mohammed Matawalle, and Senator Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar, for their roles in the development of the state.
The party reiterated its congratulations to Magarya and wished him success in his new assignment at the national level.
