The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission is set to arraign former Kaduna State Governor, , before the Federal High Court in on Tuesday, March 24, 2026.
The development was disclosed in a statement issued by the commission’s Head of Media and Public Communications, John Okor Odey, who reaffirmed the agency’s commitment to due process and the rule of law.
According to the statement, the charges against the former governor include alleged conversion and possession of public property, as well as money laundering.
The commission also revealed that a separate case involving El-Rufai and another defendant has been filed before the Kaduna State High Court.
The additional suit contains allegations of abuse of office, fraud and conferring undue advantage.
Both cases were filed on March 18, 2026, as part of the commission’s ongoing anti-corruption drive.
The ICPC confirmed that El-Rufai has been duly served, while the date for his arraignment at the state high court will be determined by the court.
