Two years ago, on October 25, 2023, the Chief Medical Director of the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH), Professor Adetokunbo O. Fabamwo, was honoured with the prestigious Transformational Leader Award by the Office of Transformation, Creativity and Innovation (OTCI) during the 2023 Lagos State Public Service Ideas Day Competition.
Today, we proudly celebrate that remarkable milestone and the enduring impact of his visionary leadership at LASUTH.
The award, presented under the theme “Building a Future-Ready Public Service,” was a well-deserved recognition of Professor Fabamwo’s tireless commitment to excellence, innovation, and quality healthcare delivery. Over the years, his leadership has redefined standards within the state’s health sector — from upgrading medical infrastructure to nurturing a culture of empathy, professionalism, and continuous learning among staff.
Under his stewardship, LASUTH has continued to strengthen its reputation as one of Nigeria’s foremost teaching hospitals, providing world-class medical care to the people of Lagos and beyond.
