Prominent political figures gathered on Tuesday at the NAF Conference Centre in Abuja for the official launch of former Jigawa State Governor Sule Lamido’s autobiography, Being True to Myself.
Former President Olusegun Obasanjo led a distinguished list of attendees, which included former Vice Presidents Atiku Abubakar and Namadi Sambo, as well as former Senate Presidents Ken Nnamani and Pius Ayim.
Also present at the event were former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) National Chairman, Dr. Iyorchia Ayu, who was scheduled to review the book, and the 2023 Labour Party presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi.
Governors Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya (Gombe), Umar Namadi (Jigawa), and Caleb Mutfwang (Plateau) were also in attendance, underscoring the significance of the occasion.
The event brought together a broad spectrum of political leaders and stakeholders to honour Lamido’s contributions to Nigerian politics and public service, as well as to celebrate his personal reflections documented in the autobiography.
