By Olayinka Agboola We were all born to achieve different purposes in life. Yes. We all desire to be successful but most of us never really develop that critical sense of focus, passion and perseverance. I have, perhaps, become lazy or maybe I have been too busy keeping myself and my businesses alive to bother about scripting…

Yesterday, we published Ambassador Fafowora’s not so palatable opinions on President Buhari’s new Chief of Staff, Professor Ibrahim Agboola Gambari. Today, we counter that with another view from another distinguished Nigerian, Governor Fayemi. Find the extract from Fayemi’s book below: “Around the third week of September 1998, I received a rather surprising call from Professor Ibrahim Gambari, Nigeria’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations. I had come to respect and like Professor Gambari in the years of our struggle. He became clearly one of our strongest opponents on the diplomatic turf in the sense that he never indulged in any…

The Federal Government and Labour earlier had a running battle with the Nigeria Governors Forum in arriving at the agreement for states and Local Government Areas to equally implement the minimum wage. Indeed, as reported in the media, both the Federal and some state Governments have implemented the said wage for their staff. However, the implementation of the new minimum wage came along with it some expected hiccups. The Federal Government…
By Sola Ojewusi That Professor Ibrahim Agboola Gambari, the man being speculated as President Buhari’s new Chief of Staff is eminently qualified for the job is hardly in doubt. He has served at the top echelons of national and international bureaucracy and diplomacy for years besides his impressive academic credentials. However, there is an old mentor of his who thinks Nigeria should be wary of having such a man at this time of our quest for renaissance. He is 79 years old Ambassador Dapo Fafowora, one of the veterans and doyens of Nigerian diplomacy. Fafowora once served as Deputy Permanent…
