Sadiq Daba who since the 70s regaled Nigerians with scintillating performances on TV and in cinemas has finally lost his battle with long term leukemia.
The veteran, noted for his role in the popular 80s soap, Cock Crow at Down, took ill sometimes ago and efforts were made by some Nigerians, including the billionaire philanthropist, Femi Otedola to bankroll his treatment at home and abroad. Sadiq fought bravely, and at a time it looked like he was winning the battle. His death this evening brings a painful finale to a truly great life.
