President Bola Tinubu has congratulated Senator Aliyu Ahmed Wadada on his turbaning as the Magajin Dangin Lafia, describing the honour as a well-deserved recognition of his service, leadership, and enduring contributions to Nasarawa State and Nigeria.
The title was conferred by the Emir of Lafia and Chairman of the Nasarawa State Council of Chiefs, Justice Sidi Bage (retd), in a ceremony that attracted dignitaries and traditional leaders.
In a statement issued Saturday by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu praised Senator Wadada’s dedication to public service and his deep-rooted connection to his community.
“This honour is a testament to your unwavering commitment to the people and your enduring efforts to drive development,” Tinubu said.
The President also commended the Emir of Lafia for preserving the cultural values of the emirate by recognising individuals whose integrity, leadership, and patriotism reflect the traditions of the throne.
“Dear Senator Wadada, as Magajin Dangin, you carry a title rich in history and responsibility. I am confident you will continue to use your influence, experience, and goodwill to promote peace and development in the Lafia Emirate, Nasarawa State, and our great country,” the President noted.
He further wished the lawmaker continued wisdom, strength, and success in his dual capacity as a federal legislator and a traditional titleholder.
