Lagos, Nigeria – President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has formally endorsed the 2025 edition of the All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA), scheduled to take place in Lagos from November 25 to 30, under the unifying theme, #UnstoppableAfrica.
The endorsement cements Nigeria’s role as the continental hub of creative excellence and reaffirms the Federal Government’s commitment to promoting Africa’s vibrant music, arts, and culture on the global stage.
To ensure seamless coordination, the Federal Government has inaugurated a high-level Local Organizing Committee (LOC), spearheaded by the Federal Ministry of Arts, Culture, Tourism and Creative Economy, in partnership with the Lagos State Government, the AFRIMA International Committee, and the African Union Commission.
Speaking at the official announcement, Minister of Arts, Culture, Tourism, and Creative Economy, Hannatu Musa Musawa (@honhannatumusawa), said AFRIMA 2025 would not only spotlight Africa’s creative excellence but also stimulate economic activity through tourism, hospitality, and global media engagement.
“AFRIMA is more than an award ceremony — it is a powerful movement showcasing the best of Africa’s talent, uniting the continent through the universal language of music,” she stated.
A Week-long Cultural Extravaganza
The 2025 edition of AFRIMA promises a star-studded lineup of events, including:
- The Africa Music Business Summit
- AFRIMA Music Village
- Nominees’ Welcome Party
- Exclusive Industry Sessions
- The Grand Award Night, which will bring together music legends, policymakers, creatives, and fans from across the globe.
With over 84 countries expected to broadcast the show, AFRIMA 2025 will serve as a global stage for African music and a platform for cultural diplomacy, youth empowerment, and creative industry advancement.
