Ibadan | July 4, 2025 — President Bola Tinubu has extended heartfelt congratulations to the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Akinloye Olakulehin, as the revered monarch marks his 90th birthday on Saturday, July 5, as well as the first anniversary of his coronation as the 43rd Olubadan on July 12.
In a statement released Friday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu praised the monarch’s enduring legacy of service, wisdom, and leadership.
“At 90, His Majesty embodies the rare blend of age-old wisdom, service, and enduring leadership through decades of selfless dedication to nation-building and community development,” the statement read.
The President further hailed Oba Olakulehin for his unwavering commitment to peace, unity, and the advancement of Ibadanland and Nigeria at large.
“Your Imperial Majesty, as you mark nine decades of a life well lived in service, sacrifice, and stewardship—and as you commemorate your first year on the throne of your forefathers—we honour not only your longevity but also your immense contributions to community development and national unity,” Tinubu said.
Oba Olakulehin ascended the throne on July 12, 2024, succeeding the late Oba Lekan Balogun.
