Against the backdrop of some media insinuation that Prophet T. B. Joshua had stroke before he died, officials of the church have confirmed to the Lagosian that the Man of God passed peacefully.
Our correspondent can also confirm speaking with the late televangelist four days prior to his death where he promised to arrange a meeting with The Lagosian.
“The way he spoke and greeted me did not show signs of anyone who had recently suffered stroke. I have also met him about three weeks prior at the church’s prayer mountain and he was walking along the “Prayer Walk” without any sign of a sick man,” recalls our correspondent who added that he received some videos from the Senior Prophet on Friday.

This much was confirmed by officials of the church who reminded The Lagosian that last Friday, the late Prophet still made a live broadcast, moving up and down while announcing that his birthday coming up on June 12 would not be celebrated this year. Many who watched the programme, beamed live on Emmanuel TV, also wondered how a man who suffered stroke two months before, as curiously insinuated by some reports, would be talking so freely and moving around so effortlessly.
Asked where the stroke story came from, the church official equally expressed her surprise, assuring our correspondent that the renowned Man of God died peacefully when God wanted him back home.
