AWKA — The Governor of Anambra State, Prof. Chukwuma Charles Soludo, on Thursday, celebrated his wife, Dr. Nonye Soludo, on her 55th birthday, describing her as his “queen” and “ageless beauty.”
In a heartfelt message posted on his official Facebook page, Governor Soludo paid glowing tribute to his wife, expressing gratitude for her unwavering companionship and strength.
“You were made specially for me, and I couldn’t have imagined going through this universe without you,” the governor wrote. “Every day, I thank God for blessing me with such a great soulmate. Happy birthday, Nono. The children and I celebrate you in a very special way. I love you both now and always!”
He added that her energy remains “fadeless” and her beauty “ageless,” despite the passing years.
As part of activities to mark the occasion, Dr. Nonye Soludo, who serves as the First Lady of Anambra State, led a statewide medical outreach aimed at supporting underprivileged patients across several hospitals.
The outreach took her to Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Teaching Hospital, Awka; Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital, Nnewi; and the newly-commissioned General Hospital in Okpoko.
During the visits, numerous patients received cash donations to help offset their hospital bills, while others benefited from free surgeries and eye care services. The medical mission also offered free screenings and treatments for hypertension, diabetes, malaria, and respiratory tract infections.
The initiative, according to aides, was part of the First Lady’s ongoing commitment to health and wellbeing in the state, and a reflection of her compassionate engagement with vulnerable communities.
The medical outreach added a humanitarian touch to the day’s celebrations, drawing praise from citizens and medical personnel alike for its impact and timeliness.
