In a dramatic and heart-wrenching scene this morning, residents of Lagos sprang into action to save a young man who was attempting to take his own life. The incident occurred in the bustling area of Ikeja, drawing a large crowd and significant attention.
Eyewitnesses reported that the young man, whose identity has not yet been disclosed, was seen dangling from a ripe down an inner city flyover bridge, clearly distressed. Passersby and local residents quickly gathered, some calling emergency services while others bravely climbed atop two mini vans called Korope to save and bring the young man down.
“It was a shocking sight,” said Mrs. Adeola Johnson, a nearby shop owner. “People were shouting, trying to distract him, while a few men tried to get close enough to pull him back to safety.”
