Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State has appointed of Mr. Bode Agoro as the 22nd Head of the State’s Civil Service.

The announcement was communicated by the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Gboyega Akosile, via his X (formerly Twitter) account late on Friday night. Agoro will officially assume his role on September 30, 2023.

Akosile, referencing a circular issued by the outgoing Head of Service, Hakeem Muri-Okunola, mentioned that Agoro began his service in the Lagos State Public Service on July 1, 2003, and subsequently became the Permanent Secretary of the Lands Bureau on August 3, 2015.

According to Akosile, “In light of this, all public servants are urged to provide the newly appointed Head of Service with the necessary support to build upon the accomplishments of his predecessors and elevate the state’s public service to new heights.

It is expected that all public servants will consistently demonstrate timeless public service values such as dedication, integrity, transparency, accountability, honesty, and loyalty

in the execution of their assigned duties.
While extending our best wishes to the new Head of Service for a fruitful and successful tenure, Accounting Officers are advised to take note of this circular and ensure its widespread dissemination, ” Àkọsílẹ̀ stated further.
