Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has congratulated the Ayangburen of Ikorodu and Vice Chairman of the Lagos State Council of Obas and Chiefs, Oba Kabiru Shotobi, as the monarch marked his 10th coronation anniversary.
In a statement issued on Saturday by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Gboyega Akosile, the governor commended the traditional ruler’s exemplary leadership and enduring impact over the past decade.
“On behalf of my family, the Government and people of Lagos State, I congratulate Oba Kabiru Shotobi on his 10th coronation as the paramount ruler of Ikorodu,” Sanwo-Olu said, describing the monarch as “a beacon of wisdom, benevolence and cultural heritage.”
The governor praised Oba Shotobi’s dedication to peace, unity, and progress, noting his unwavering commitment to the growth and prosperity of Ikorodu. He also lauded the monarch’s contributions to Lagos State in his role as Vice Chairman of the State Council of Obas and Chiefs.
“As Oba Shotobi marks this milestone, it is my prayer that the Almighty God will continue to bless him with good health, wisdom, and many more years of service to Ikorodu, Lagos State, and Nigeria,” Sanwo-Olu added.
He expressed hope that the royal reign would continue to foster harmony, love, and development in Ikorodu and beyond.
