If I were not a virgin,
I would have kissed you for twenty minutes,
my nipples would sleep beneath yours,
and my eyes shall stare into your sockets
just as a mother to her son.
If I were not a virgin,
I would give you my eyes
and you shall have my attention all seconds.
Even in my bathroom,
I shall summon you to rub my raw backs.
If I were not a virgin,
I would have slept right beside you,
in pure nudity, pantless and unclothed.
Even before the heavy protocols of family rites,
I would have been your passionate partner.
If I were not a virgin,
my fingers would reside in yours,
my head would be wrapped like ofada rice
within the peace of your arms.
Do you know how curiosity hunts my principles?
If I were not a virgin,
Do you think I would be a Muslim?
The tail of my heart drinks you
as water before a thirsty man.
Heart knocks, but Islam sees my wants as “romantic misbehaviours”?
