Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa has announced the immediate dissolution of the state executive council, along with the termination of appointments for all senior special assistants (SSAs) and special assistants (SAs).

According to a statement released on Wednesday by Ebenezer Adeniyan, the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, members of the dissolved cabinet are instructed to hand over their responsibilities to permanent secretaries or the most senior administrative officers in their respective offices.

The statement reads, “All Senior Special Assistants (SSAs) and Special Assistants (SAs) are also relieved of their duties, with immediate effect. All the affected officials are directed to hand over all government properties in their possession.”

Governor Aiyedatiwa expressed gratitude to the outgoing officials for their services and contributions to the development of the state. This move comes nearly a month after Aiyedatiwa assumed office as the Governor, succeeding the late Rotimi Akeredolu.

The Governor’s decision to restructure the state executive council aligns with his administration’s commitment to effective governance and is expected to pave the way for new appointments that will shape the trajectory of Ondo State’s development.
