Wailo, Bauchi State — July 1, 2025 — The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has praised Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, for his commitment to youth development through major infrastructural upgrades at the state’s permanent orientation camp.
The commendation came on Tuesday during the closing ceremony of the 2025 Batch ‘A’ Stream II orientation course held at the Wailo Camp in Ganjuwa Local Government Area.
NYSC State Coordinator, Umoren Kufre, expressed deep appreciation for the renovation of corps members’ hostels, the rehabilitation of officials’ residential blocks, and the construction of a new multipurpose hall — all undertaken by the Bauchi State Government.
“This kind gesture will remain very fresh in our minds for a long time to come. Your Excellency, thank you once again for being a good father to the youth,” Kufre said.
He also lauded the government’s efforts in ensuring a conducive and secure environment for corps members and camp officials, attributing the success of the orientation exercise to the state’s supportive role.
Additionally, Kufre extended appreciation to the Wailo Community for being gracious hosts over the years, particularly for their support in providing labour assistance that eased camp operations. He also thanked various collaborating agencies and NYSC staff for their outstanding contributions throughout the course.
The NYSC’s glowing tribute to Governor Mohammed highlights the impact of strong state-level support on the success and safety of national youth development programs.
